Frit Cast Glass Boxes
To make
a glass box, two molds are prepared, the lid and the base. We take crushed glass
called frit and fill the molds.
The
molds are placed into a kiln, heated up to 1450°f, the glass becomes molten and
becomes one piece of glass per mold.
All
totaled the glass spends about 24 hours in the kilns.
Expect
variations in color. Custom colors are available.
